The next POWER! Scranton Outage will be held on Thursday, May 10, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Why Not Designs, 706 East Market Street, Scranton.

Check out the latest fashions at this unique local boutique. Special guest speaker will be Dr. Drozdick, M.D. Food will be provided by Sweet Water Catering.

The event is free for members, and $10 for non-members.

First Friday Art Auction FREE for POWER! members

First Friday Scranton is holding their annual Art Auction and has offered complimentary tickets to our membership (usually $10). Contact Tim McLain at tmclain@dxdempsey.com to get tickets!

This year’s auction will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. at the Scranton Cultural Center.

Proceeds from the art auction will benefit the non-profit, volunteer-driven First Friday Scranton organization and will help support the monthly art walks and local artistic initiatives. Please come and support those who have so generously donated their art and maybe you could be going home with a beautiful work of art from a talented local artist!

There are also sponsorship opportunities available if anyone from our membership wishes to participate. The Art Auction also includes a silent auction as well as a wine pull (or $20 to purchase a bottle).

POWER! Scranton Ticket Auction Benefits the United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern PA

To show our support for the United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern PA, POWER! Scranton will auction four seats to their 12^th Annual Mardi Gras event at the Radisson on Friday, February 17 6-10PM. The auction will begin today January 31, and will run till February 7. Each seat will go to the highest bidder and all proceeds will benefit the United Neighborhood Center of Northeastern PA and their emergency food and clothing bank, Angel’s Attic.

Each ticket valued at $65 includes dinner. The event includes everything for a complete Mardi Gras party: masks, beads, gaming tables, Dixieland jazz, fortune tellers, a basket raffle, silent auction, dancing and a cash bar. You will also have a chance to win the grand prize of a 3 day, 2 night stay at Cove Haven Entertainment Resort.

V Power!: Nay Aug Park Holiday Light Show

The annual Light Show needs volunteers and we’d love to help them out! Power! Scranton is looking for people from our membership to represent Power! Shifts are 2 hours and it is preferred that there be at least 2 people at the table at any given time. Volunteers will collect donations and pass along info to visitors driving thru the park

POWER! November Event: Thanksgiving Eve at The Banshee
