Celebrate DxDempsey’s Seventh Anniversary with POWER!

Join POWER! Scranton on Thursday, Aug. 26, from 6-8 p.m. as we celebrate the 7th anniversary of DxDempsey, where it all began!

The event is free and open to the public. Networking, Food, Beverages, Entertainment, Canoes, Paddle Boats and outdoor games!

The featured speaker is Erwin Kost, Jr. who will talk about his family-grown business and will provide car care and safety tips. Networking, refreshments and entertainment will be available along with wine from Bartolai Winery to sample.

POWER! Scranton is holding a Member Recruitment Night on May 17, 2010, from 6–8 p.m. at Jack’s Draft House, 802 Prescott Ave., Scranton.

POWER! Scranton hosting Speed Networking and Marketing event

POWER! Scranton is hosting a Speed Networking and Marketing event on Friday, June 4, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hilton Scranton Conference Center in PJ’s Pub.

Speed networking begins at 6:45 p.m. and it will offer a great opportunity to get to know fellow POWER! Scranton members and their businesses.

If you’d like to market your business at the event, there are still tables available. Participants will be provided with a five-foot table to display information and raffle off gifts. The cost to participate is $100 and is limited to the first ten paid POWER! Scranton members. If you have a business or represent a business that is interested in participating, please contact this month’s event chairwoman Judy Youshock at judy@rockcreekcorporatecenter.com for more information. Payment must be made in full prior to the event in order to participate.

Networking Happy Hour before ‘Mamma Mia’ Performance

Advance tickets for the Wine Festival at Sno Cove are still available at discount prices to POWER! Scranton members and now we have another special offer for POWER! members: The Broadway Theatre League is planning a Networking Happy Hour event at an upcoming performance of “Mamma Mia” for POWER! members.

For the price of a ticket to the Wednesday, April 21, performance, POWER! members will also get an invitation to a Happy Hour from 5:30-7 p.m. prior to the show. Happy Hour will include an open bar and snacks.

Join POWER! Scranton at The Wine Festival at Snö Cove on Saturday, May 29, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Snö Mountain Ski Resort, 1000 Montage Mountain Road, Scranton.

Sample wines from local Pennsylvania wineries and enjoy live entertainment, food, arts and crafts, military displays and more. In conjunction with NEPA Wine County and Rediscover Scranton, help us to salute our military this Memorial Day weekend while celebrating the opening of Snö Mountain’s sensational water park, Snö Cove.

Advance tickets are $20; $30 at the gate; and $5 for under 21 and designated drivers. Advance tickets for POWER! Scranton members are just $15. St. Patrick’s Pre-Parade Day Celebration

POWER! Scranton is teaming up with Marywood University Alumni to present a St. Patrick’s Pre-Parade Day Celebration on March 12 at 7 p.m. at Andy Gavin’s, 1392 N. Washington Ave., Scranton.

A contribution of $10 will get you in the door with all of the proceeds going toward the Marywood University Campus Ministry Service Trip Program. The event is open to the public. There will be appetizers and drink specials along with giveaways and a free Parade Day T-Shirt.
