Schultz, a Northeastern Pennsylvania native who grew up in the Tunkhannock area, recently set up a local branch of the national Blue Square Resolutions in the Rock Creek Corporate Center, Olyphant, Pa. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Blue Square Resolutions is a merchant services provider that offers payment processing solutions to businesses ranging from national retailers to convenience stores and e-businesses.

“We save businesses money,” Schultz said, summing up Blue Square’s approach. “We utilize all of the newest payment technologies. We can even process credit cards for mobile merchants via smartphone.”

As National Sales Director, Schultz is currently tasked with building Blue Square’s local client channel and recruiting new sales agents. “It’s going extremely well,” Schultz said. “We have partnered with many local businesses in the area, reducing their bottom line.” A key to that success has been settling into a state-of-the-art professional office space in the Rock Creek Corporate Center with the assistance of the Scranton Plan.

“It has worked out nicely for us,” Schultz said of the decision to locate to Rock Creek. “This location has great arteries running through it.”
