Electrify Your Taste Buds with Electric City Restaurant Week

President & Founder of KKPR Marketing & Public Relations, Katrina Foster, recently announced that the Milford-based marketing and communications agency is launching a spin-off of their Restaurant Week Along the Delaware – Electric City Restaurant Week. Modeled after New York City’s Restaurant Week, Electric City Restaurant Week follows the same idea; three-course, prix-fixe dining for under $32.00.  The two-week culinary event is set to begin on Friday, October 14th, and end on Sunday, October 30th.

“We are spending more and more time in Scranton getting to know the people, the businesses and the culture, and we absolutely love it,” said Foster. “Personally and professionally, I love food, wine, and all that lifestyle brands have to offer – they are fun and sexy – and Scranton has a lot of great restaurants. It only seems natural that we bring the vibrant Electric City it’s very own Restaurant Week.”

For the two-weeks that Electric City Restaurant Week takes place, participating restaurants will offer a three-course, prix-fixe meal for $32.00 or less, per person, including tax, in addition to their regular menu. This allows students, families and everyone who enjoys eating out an opportunity to visit their favorite restaurant or try new ones for a very affordable price.

“It’s an event that is in line with our overall mission to build a more exciting Scranton,” said Chris Doherty, Mayor of Scranton. “The overall effect of this event is to draw more attention to the downtown and increase awareness of our restaurants while giving our city what it wants – an affordable way to dine out. We look forward to supporting this venture.”

Previously, KKPR launched Restaurant Week Along the Delaware, which highlighted restaurants along the Delaware River in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The success of that event, coupled with the agency’s love of food, prompted the creation of Electric City Restaurant Week.  Participating restaurants will include Clarks Summit, Dickson City, Throop, Dunmore, and of course the Electric City itself, Scranton.

KKPR, Kconceptual Kreations, has grown from a one-woman, home-based business in 2006 to a burgeoning boutique agency that currently includes additional publicists, designers, a sales team and administration staff. Since its brand re-launch in September 2008, many new and exciting things have popped in the world of KKPR from new clients and services to new staff and KKPR Brands. Most recently KKPR was the recipient of a 2010 Addy Award for The Looking Glass Project from the American Advertising Federation of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
