“At the time I decided to remain in the area it was for a technology position. Being from New Jersey originally I had the opportunity to return and work in either New York or New Jersey in a corporate environment.

My initial reaction was to leave the area for the salary but I quickly noticed the New Jersey I grew up in was greatly overcrowded and the day-to-day grind was a lot more stress than it was worth. Scranton turned out to be an alternative that not only allows me to operate in New York and New Jersey with my company as I want but it also had an environment to start a business in that was vastly different than New Jersey. The ability to know other business owners on a first-name basis regardless if they were the president of a bank or one of the leading trial attorneys in the region is something that you couldn't hope for in a larger metropolitan area.

In short Scranton offered an opportunity and a level playing field to start a company and develop my own course for that company on my own terms.”
