Small Business Center Bringing New Jobs to Jessup
An $8.3 million multi-tenant office building coming soon to the Jessup Small Business Center could bring up to 200 new jobs to the Jessup area.
Scranton-Lackawanna Industrial Building Company (SLIBCO), the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce's development arm, will contribute more than $1.2 million in cash and land toward the project. Additional funds coming through state grants and loans as well as Jessup Borough, which has applied for a $1 million Local Share Account from Monroe County's gaming funds and a $2 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant.
Tenants - up to eight anchor tenants and 10 incubator offices - are currently being sought for the building.
