PNC Field

PNC Field, formerly Lackawanna County Stadium, is an open-air stadium/civic arena that seats 11,000. LCS is the home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, the minor league affiliate of the New York Yankees. The stadium is visited by 600,000 people a year.

The stadium, which cost $25 million to build and opened on April 26, 1989, is located on a 50-acre parcel on scenic Montage Mountain in Moosic. PNC Field is easily accessible by Interstate 81. The stadium serves the people of Lackawanna County by hosting amateur events such as high school, college and semi-pro football; high school soccer and field hockey; and both professional and high school band competitions. The parking lot of the stadium has also been used for events such as three-on-three basketball, flea markets, car shows and craft shows.

A staple of the community for nearly two decades, PNC Field has offered County residents entertainment in a variety of ways.
