![]() ![]() Places: The Renaissance at 500Bringing new living, shopping and dining spaces to the downtown, the Renaissance at 500 project, when completed, will offer former residents a number of great reasons to Rediscover Scranton. Ground was broken on the Renaissance at 500 – a redevelopment of the 500 block of Lackawanna Avenue in Scranton – in May of 2008. The project aimed to establish a new downtown business district with boutique shopping, nightlife destinations, restaurants and retail spaces. The Renaissance at 500 could attract more than 180 new jobs to the Scranton area. The Residences at 500, the residential portion of the project, includes 16 new condominiums across eight turn-of-the-century buildings, balancing historic detail with comfortable, contemporary urban living. Residences feature expansive views, balconies, hardwood floors and gourmet kitchens. In addition to its shops, restaurants and residential spaces, the Renaissance at 500 brings quality-of-life renovations to the 500 block of Lackawanna Avenue like a new landscaped park, a pedestrian plaza and new walkways with lit brick crosswalks and a street clock tower. ![]() The project is nearing completion and, on September 28, 2009, you can tour the Renaissance at 500 project with POWER! Scranton. The POWER! Outage, scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. will begin at P.J.’s Pub inside the Hilton Scranton and Conference Center with entertainment provided by Rich Jenkins. Tours of the Renaissance at 500 will be held between 6:30-7:30 p.m. For more information on residential or retail spaces in the Renaissance at 500, call 570-344-1500 or email info@slr-properties.com.
