SEC houses permanent tenants on the first and third floors and a Business Incubator on the second floor. The SEC is located in a Keystone Opportunity Expansion Zone (KOEZ). Eligible businesses that locate within the Scranton Enterprise Center will realize the benefits of the KOEZ program. These benefits include an abatement of essentially all taxes including local real estate taxes and gross receipts taxes, and Pennsylvania’s corporate net income tax and its capital stock and franchise tax, through December 31, 2013. SEC’s second-floor business incubator nurtures young firms, helping them to survive and grow during the start-up period when they are most vulnerable. The SEC provides a number of services to enhance the development of young firms, including hands-on management assistance, access to financing, intensive mentoring programs and networking opportunities. The SEC’s business incubator tenants have access to shared office services, equipment, conference rooms, flexible leases, and expandable office space. These services coupled with professional management stimulate the growth and development of new business ventures in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Any business interested in locating in the SEC business incubator should contact Kristine French at 570-342-7711. Each business is required to complete an application form and submit a thorough business plan and financial information for at least two years. The application and business plan information are reviewed by a committee and either approved or denied. If approved, the business is then provided a lease for the space. Download an application from the SEC site. The term for tenants leasing space within the business incubator is three years and will be renewed annually. Current tenants:
