The Scranton Plan Releases Winter 2011 Newsletter

The Scranton Plan just released its winter 2011 newsletter, filled with the latest local economic development news and information on the success of Scranton Plan programs.

Featured in this issue is an article on the opening of a roadway that provides access to Phase II of Valley View Business Park. When completed, the site has the potential to create 5,000 family-sustaining jobs.

The winter issue also details a strategic plan to expand the bioscience industry in Northeastern Pennsylvania and foster the workforce skills necessary to accommodate anticipated growth in this sector through the Northeastern Pennsylvania Regional Bioscience Initiative, as well as two significant grants recently awarded to the initiative.
