Young Entrepreneur Brings High Fashion to Downtown Scranton

Downtown Scranton recently received a dose of high fashion with the addition of Well-Heeled, a men’s and women’s fine shoe salon, at 140 Penn Avenue.

After graduating from Temple University, Northeastern Pennsylvania native Calla Kavulich returned to the area and opened Well-Heeled last fall. “I love fashion; I love style,” Kavulich said. “And I thought the area needed another shoe store.”

Since she opened, Kavulich said the reception to her store has been outstanding. “People are happy to have a shoe store in the downtown,” she said.

As word of the quality of their merchandise and selection spread, traffic has steadily increased. “A lot of people still don’t know we’re here,” said Kavulich. “Business is just now getting good.”
